Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Surveyor II to support field surveys, data collection, and staking on diverse projects. You will operate and maintain survey instruments, read plans, and ensure accurate data for boundary, topo, ALTA/NSPS, and construction layout tasks. Travel to multiple project sites will be required.

The role emphasizes meticulous instrument setup, safety, and collaboration with the survey team to deliver quality results and keep field operations efficient.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of surveying experience.
• Familiarity with surveying terms and field equipment.
• Ability to operate Total Station, Data Collector, GPS.
• Ability to read alignment sheets and construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain surveying instruments for assignments.
• Place marks, stakes, pins, monuments.
• Drive stakes to fix survey points and determine location data.
• Measure distances and read survey data accurately.
• Record data and maintain field notes daily.
• Assist in basic field engineering activities.
• Maintain field equipment and supplies.
• Collaborate with the Party Chief to meet project goals safely.
