Job summary

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber is offering a Survey Internship for Summer 2027 in Terre Haute, IN. You will assist with evaluations and design of water and wastewater projects, analyze data, and prepare technical reports while collaborating with engineers and survey professionals across Indiana offices.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Survey Engineering, Survey Technology, or Civil Engineering programs and familiar with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation. Travel and long hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Survey Engineering, Survey Technology, or Civil Engineering program.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation preferred.

Working with our Surveying team, you willassist with evaluations and design of Water/Wastewater projects.

What You'll Do

• Assist in engineering evaluations and design of water and wastewater systems.
• Analyze data and help prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with engineers and survey professionals across multiple offices.
• Participate in site visits and client meetings to observe project conditions firsthand.

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a Survey Engineering, Survey Technology, or Civil Engineering program.
• AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Micro Station experience, preferably in the land development industry.
• Ability to learn basic design concepts and technical calculations.
• GPS knowledge is a plus.
• Possess valid driver's license.
• Available for occasional travel, long hours, and occasional weekends.
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow direction, and work independently.
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
