Job summary

Fishbeck invites a Survey Internship - Summer 2027 for candidates pursuing a degree in Survey Engineering, Survey Technology, or Civil Engineering. The role supports water/wastewater project evaluations, data analysis, and report preparation as part of a collaborative surveying team across offices.

Ideal applicants will be enrolled in a related program, proficient with AutoCAD/Civil 3D or MicroStation, and able to learn basic design concepts. Some travel and flexible scheduling may apply.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Survey Engineering, Survey Technology, or Civil Engineering program.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation in land development contexts.
• Basic GPS knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and able to learn new tools.

Employment Type: Full-Time Internship

Working with our Surveying team, you willassist with evaluations and design of Water/Wastewater projects.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in engineering evaluations and design of water and wastewater systems.
• Analyze data and help prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with engineers and survey professionals across multiple offices.
• Participate in site visits and client meetings to observe project conditions firsthand.

What We’re Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a Survey Engineering, Survey Technology, or Civil Engineering program.
• AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Micro Station experience, preferably in the land development industry.
• Ability to learn basic design concepts and technical calculations.
• GPS knowledge is a plus.
• Possess valid driver’s license.
• Available for occasional travel, long hours, and occasional weekends.
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow direction, and work independently.
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
