Job summary

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber in Dayton, OH invites applications for a Survey Internship - Summer 2027. You will assist with evaluations and design of water and wastewater projects, analyze data, and support engineers and survey professionals across multiple offices.

The role requires enrollment in a relevant program and proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation. Some travel and long hours may be required; opportunity for hybrid or flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Survey Engineering, Survey Technology, or Civil Engineering program.
• AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Micro Station experience, preferably in land development.
• Ability to learn basic design concepts and technical calculations.
• GPS knowledge is a plus.
• Possess valid driver's license.
• Available for occasional travel, long hours, and occasional weekends.
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow direction, and work independently.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Position: Survey Internship - Summer 2027

Location: Dayton, OH

Employment Type: Full-Time Internship

Working with our Surveying team, you willassist with evaluations and design of Water/Wastewater projects.

What You'll Do

• Assist in engineering evaluations and design of water and wastewater systems.
• Analyze data and help prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with engineers and survey professionals across multiple offices.
• Participate in site visits and client meetings to observe project conditions firsthand.

What We're Looking For
