Job summary

Fishbeck invites a Survey Intern for Summer 2027 to support our surveying team across Indiana offices. Based in Indianapolis, you will assist with evaluations and design for water and wastewater projects and collaborate with engineers and survey professionals.

Role requires enrollment in a relevant engineering program, familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D/MicroStation, and willingness to travel occasionally. This internship offers comprehensive benefits and exposure to industry-leading practices.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Survey Engineering, Survey Technology, or Civil Engineering program.
• Ability to learn basic design concepts and technical calculations.
• Experience with data analysis and preparing technical reports is a plus.

Employment Type: Full-Time Internship

Working with our Surveying team, you willassist with evaluations and design of Water/Wastewater projects.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in engineering evaluations and design of water and wastewater systems.
• Analyze data and help prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with engineers and survey professionals across multiple offices.
• Participate in site visits and client meetings to observe project conditions firsthand.

What We’re Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a Survey Engineering, Survey Technology, or Civil Engineering program.
• AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Micro Station experience, preferably in the land development industry.
• Ability to learn basic design concepts and technical calculations.
• GPS knowledge is a plus.
• Possess valid driver’s license.
• Available for occasional travel, long hours, and occasional weekends.
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow direction, and work independently.
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
