Job summary

Fishbeck in Grand Rapids, MI invites talented students to join as a Survey Internship - Summer 2027. You'll work with our Surveying team on evaluations and design of Water/Wastewater projects, gaining hands-on experience across multiple offices.

This paid internship supports tuition assistance, flexible schedules, and professional development. You will assist with data analysis, site visits, client meetings, and collaboration with engineers and survey professionals while building your skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Survey Engineering, Survey Technology, or Civil Engineering program.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D or MicroStation in land development preferred.
• Ability to learn basic design concepts and technical calculations.
• GPS knowledge is a plus.
• Possess valid driver's license.
• Available for occasional travel, long hours, and occasional weekends.
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow direction, and work independently.
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Working with our Surveying team, you willassist with evaluations and design of Water/Wastewater projects.

What You'll Do

• Assist in engineering evaluations and design of water and wastewater systems.

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a Survey Engineering, Survey Technology, or Civil Engineering program.
• AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Micro Station experience, preferably in the land development industry.
• Ability to learn basic design concepts and technical calculations.
• GPS knowledge is a plus.
