The Geomatics Division of Phasor Engineering offers spatial services to build, maintain, map, and monitor electrical infrastructure. We utilize advanced geomatics technology, including GPS systems, terrestrial scanners, drones, high-precision optical and infrared sensors, and helicopter-based LiDAR.

Our expertise in power infrastructure projects is reflected in our team, which includes highly qualified engineers and technicians experienced in large transmission line builds, renewable energy projects, remote inspections, pipeline projects, and more. Phasor's Geomatics division seeks a Survey Crew Chief for long-term opportunities in Canada and the United States, working on large-scale construction projects.

Key Details

• Truck and equipment will be supplied
• Travel and accommodations will be paid by Phasor
• 20 days on, 10 days off rotation

Requirements

• Perform daily field survey activities, including obtaining survey measurements and staking for infrastructure construction
• Communicate effectively with Field Leads, Project Managers, Professional Land Surveyors, and Client Field Representatives
• Interpret design drawings, field data, field sketches, and base maps
• Coordinate and supervise daily activities of the field crew; mentor and train survey assistants
• Travel based on project location
• Operate and maintain survey equipment such as ATVs/UTVs/Argos, tools, and materials
• Promote Phasor’s Health, Safety, and Environmental Program

Education and Experience

• Previous survey experience in engineering, construction, or industrial surveys
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Technical diploma in Geomatics or Civil Engineering preferred
