Job summary

Topographic, Inc. seeks a Survey Technician I to execute technically complex land surveying tasks, review maps for accuracy, and ensure compliance with applicable property laws.

You will work with field crews and office staff in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include researching easements and deeds, processing data with Trimble Business Center, producing AutoCAD maps, and preparing legal descriptions for right of way and parcels.

Qualifications

• Experience in surveying field data collection and map interpretation.
• Ability to read title reports and legal descriptions.
• Proficient with computer-assisted surveying tools.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Research easements, deeds, and records for field sketches.
• Process field crew data with Trimble and prepare files for AutoCAD.
• Create survey base drawings from field data and reference maps.
• Prepare subdivision maps and ALTA/topographic surveys.
• Perform QA/QC on work produced.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.
