Job summary

Topographic OM, Inc. is seeking a Survey Technician to perform ALTA/NSPS land title surveys and boundary analysis. You will review survey maps, title commitments, and legal descriptions to ensure accuracy and compliance with surveying standards.

The role involves researching records, processing field data with Trimble software, and producing survey drawings in AutoCAD. Travel to worksites may be required; must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of mathematics used in field survey analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret maps, title reports, and legal descriptions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software used to draft reports and letters.

Responsibilities

• Perform research of county, city, and other sources of record information for easements, deeds, and other pertinent information to prepare working sketches for field crews.
• Process field crew data with Trimble Business Center to create files for AutoCAD import.
• Create survey base drawings using field data files and reference maps.
• Produce detailed subdivision maps, ALTA surveys, and topographic surveys with AutoCAD.
• Prepare legal descriptions and exhibits for rights of way and easements.
• Perform QA/QC on work prepared by self and others.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
