Job summary

Topographic, Inc. is seeking a Surveying Construction Technician I to execute technically complex land surveying tasks and review survey maps for accuracy and compliance with laws. The role involves supporting field crews with sketches and data processing.

You will use Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD to produce subdivision maps, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, and related exhibits, while performing QA/QC and preparing legal descriptions. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong math skills for survey analysis.
• Experience with technical report writing and surveying software.
• Ability to read maps, title reports, and legal descriptions.

Responsibilities

• Research county, city, and other sources of record information on easements, deeds and other pertinent information.
• Process field crew data with Trimble Business Center to produce files for import into AutoCAD.
• Create survey base drawings using field data, photos and reference maps.
• Produce detailed subdivision maps, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, and other survey maps with AutoCAD.
• Prepare legal descriptions and exhibits for right of way, easements, acquisition parcels.
• Perform QA/QC on work produced by self and others.
• Set up a project in TBC or Civil 3D based on plan-set parameters.
