Job summary

Topographic, Inc. in Texas is seeking a Survey Technician III to perform technically complex land surveying assignments and review maps for accuracy and regulatory compliance.

You will convert field data into CAD drawings, perform boundary analyses, and prepare exhibits for right of way and easements while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with field crews. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of mathematics used in field survey analysis.
• Thorough knowledge of ALTA Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and staking procedures.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Execute technically complex land surveying assignments with limited supervision.
• Review survey maps and documents for accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Convert field data into CAD drawings and project documents with accuracy and speed.
• Perform boundary analyses from field data and prepare working sketches.
• Produce subdivision maps, ALTA surveys, and topographic surveys using AutoCAD and Trimble/Bas Master.
• Mentor junior Survey Technicians and Drafters.
