Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a vigilant Surveillance Officer to monitor casino activities and protect guests, staff, and assets. You will operate CCTV systems, document incidents, and assist investigations with detailed reports.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong computer skills and ability to learn surveillance software quickly.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization and observation abilities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for reporting.
  • One year of casino gaming experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of table games, casino operations and gaming regulations preferred.
  • Experience using CCTV or investigative software is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor guest and team member activities via CCTV and direct observation.
  • Detect, investigate, and document suspicious activities and regulatory concerns.
  • Capture and preserve video evidence for investigations and risk management.
  • Monitor surveillance alarms and respond to security notifications.
  • Review footage to resolve disputes and support investigations.
  • Prepare detailed daily reports and investigative documentation.
  • Conduct surveillance audits across casino operations and outlets.
  • Ensure surveillance equipment functions properly and report issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all company, guest, and team matters.
  • Assist management, regulatory agencies, and law enforcement when requested.
  • Participate in court proceedings related to gaming investigations if needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Monitor guest and team member activities through CCTV and direct observation.
  • Detect, investigate, and document suspicious activities, policy violations, criminal activity, and regulatory concerns.
  • Capture, preserve and maintain video evidence for investigations, compliance reviews, and risk management purposes.
  • Monitor and respond to surveillance alarms and security notifications.
  • Review video footage to resolve guest disputes, support investigations, and assist operational departments.
  • Prepare detailed daily reports, incident logs, and investigative documentation.
  • Conduct surveillance audits of gaming operations, count rooms, slot operations, food and beverage outlets, cage operations, and security procedures.
  • Ensure surveillance equipment is functioning properly and report technical issues promptly.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all company, guest, and team member matters.
  • Assist management, regulatory agencies, and law enforcement when requested.
  • Participate in court proceedings related to gaming investigations when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License.
  • Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn surveillance software systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and observation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and prepare accurate reports.
  • One (1) year of casino gaming experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of table games, casino operations, gaming regulations, payouts, and odds preferred.
  • Experience using CCTV, surveillance software, or investigative systems preferred.
