Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology Certificate required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of common surgical procedures and sterile technique.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, teamwork, adaptability and mentorship.
• On-call shifts outside regular hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for procedures, organizes sterile fields, and anticipates case needs.
• Collaborates with surgeons to optimize outcomes during operations.
• Performs scrub and assist roles across multiple specialties.
• Manages case activities and responds to intraoperative changes.
• Mentors staff and students, promoting safety and efficiency.
• Supports case closing activities and intraoperative troubleshooting.
• Upholds patient privacy and contributes to quality improvement.
