The role includes on-call duties, training new technologists and students, and adapting to surgeon preferences while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Certification in BLS within 30 days.
• Associate's degree or certification in Surgical Technology.
• Willingness to accept new graduates.
• Strong technical skills, adaptability, teamwork, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepares instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgeon-specific procedures, ensuring readiness and proper setup.
• Performs scrubbing on a variety of procedures, adapting to surgeon preferences and handling routine and emergency cases confidently.
• Anticipates intraoperative needs, manages unexpected events, and provides appropriate interventions.
• Mentors staff and students, demonstrating critical thinking and intraoperative decision-making.
• Communicates effectively with team members, shares knowledge, and collaborates to ensure case success.
• Participates in on-call duties and maintains flexibility for scheduling needs.
