Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up sterile fields, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Scrub on procedures from simple to complex, adapting to surgeon preferences and staying ready for routine and emergency cases.
• Anticipate intraoperative needs, manage unexpected events, and provide timely interventions.
• Mentor and precept staff and students, foster teamwork, and ensure effective communication.
• Participate in quality improvement and safe patient care practices, including on-call responsibilities.
