Qualifications

• CST certification or PA Act 80 eligibility required.
• Graduate of Specialty Training Program.
• Aseptic technique proficiency; follow policies and procedures.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during procedures and coordinate treatments.
• Provide patient support and prepare sterile fields.
• Verify surgical sites and specimens, maintain supplies, and follow safety protocols.
• Participate in on-call rotations and weekend coverage; respond to emergencies.
• Provide specimen collection, patient transport, and dressing changes; ensure proper medication labeling under supervision.
• Support surgical team during interventions and wound care; assist with admission/discharge.
• Maintain documentation and perform quality control; precept students.
