Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is hiring a Surgical Technologist (PRN) in the Cleveland area.

You will assist in the operating room under supervision of surgeons and nurses, set up instruments and sterile fields, and support the surgical team before, during, and after procedures. The role requires CPR certification and completion of an accredited surgical tech program or military training; 0–2 years of related clinical experience is typical.

Qualifications

• Certification preferred but not required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical tech program or equivalent training.
• Must be certified to perform CPR.
• 0–2 years of clinical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Sets up instruments, drapes, and solutions before operations.
• Tends to patient during pre-operation procedures and follows regulations.
• Assists with patient skin prep and instrument handling during surgery.
• Transfers patients to OR, positions them, and applies sterile drapes.
• Counts sponges, needles, and supplies with the team; disposes specimens.
• Operates sterilizers, lights, suction, and diagnostic equipment.
• Post-operation, helps transfer to recovery and restocks OR.
