Job summary

Cypress Surgery Center in Wichita, KS seeks a PRN Surgical Technologist to assist in surgical operations under supervision of surgeons and RNs. The role supports OR teams with instrument handling, patient prep, and post-op cleanup.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program with CPR certification and 0–2 years of clinical experience. This position offers flexible hours to support OR coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• CPR certification required; 0-2 years clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Sets up surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions.
• Tends to patient during pre-operation procedures and assures readiness for surgery.
• Pre-operation skin prep and patient safety measures.
• Assembles sterile and non-sterile equipment; checks function.
• Prepares patients for surgery, including positioning and cleaning incision sites.
• Transports patients to OR, assists with gowning/gloving, and counts sponges and needles.
