Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Tech to join the Kenosha operating team. The role focuses on preparing sterile fields, assisting with gowning, draping, and instrument handling to support surgeons in diverse surgeries.

Ideal candidates will have completed a Surgical Technology program and obtained BLS within 6 months. The position is full-time, with 40 hours per week and a 9-hour to 10-hour shift pattern, including on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) certification to be obtained within 6 months unless exempted by leadership.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile fields and assist with gowning and gloving.
• Set up operating room and move equipment as needed.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and maintaining aseptic technique.
• Assist in patient positioning and transport.
• Notify staff of equipment and supply issues.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the operating room.
• Support team as Second Assistant when required.
