Job summary

AdventHealth in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Part-time Surgical Tech for a Day shift. You will assist in sterile setup, gowning and gloving, pass instruments, and help prepare the room and instruments for procedures.

The role requires BLS certification, completion of a technical/vocational program, and 2+ years of surgical tech experience is preferred. An Associate degree is preferred; NBSTSACertified Surgical First Assistant credentials are desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv is required.
• Technical/Vocational School required.
• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Checks supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Gowns, gloves for surgeon and assistants.
• Sets up sterile table with instruments and meds for procedures.
• Performs counts with circulator prior to incision.
• Assists in draping sterile field and passing instruments.
• Maintains sterile technique during procedures.
• Cares for specimens with accuracy.
• Prepares dressings and instruments for sterilization.
