Geisinger is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons during operative procedures across all ages. Prepare sterile fields, maintain aseptic technique, and coordinate with the surgical team for efficient patient care.

Responsibilities include instrument handling, specimen preparation, blood and equipment setup, and participation in on-call rotations. Requires CST certification and Specialty Training Program completion.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of Specialty Training Program (Required).
• Current CST certification required unless exempt under PA Act 80.
• Support surgical team with sterile technique and patient care.

Aufgaben

• Assist surgeons and coordinate treatments with other disciplines.
• Maintain aseptic technique while preparing for surgery and setting up instruments.
• Verify counts of sponges, needles and instruments with the circulating nurse.
• Assist in patient positioning and transport as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotations and perioperative procedures.
