Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley in Pennsylvania seeks a certified Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons during procedures for patients of all ages. The role involves preparing the sterile field, scrubbing, gowning, gloving, and handing instruments in a fast-paced operating room.

The position offers full-time hours (3 12-hour shifts weekly), rotating weekends and on-call duties. Current NBSTSA CST certification is required unless exempt, with a specialty training program graduate as education.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program (Required).
• Current CST certification is required unless exempt under PA Act 80.
• Minimum 1 year related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon with procedures and coordinate treatments.
• Prepare sterile field, scrub, gown, glove, and pass instruments.
• Maintain aseptic technique and universal precautions.
• Participate in on-call rotations and patient transport as needed.
