Job summary

U K Healthcare Ltd in Lexington, KY is seeking Surgical Technologists to support the operating room team. You will pass instruments, maintain the sterile field, ensure supplies are ready, and assist with case counts across a variety of procedures.

Primary duties include room setup, sterile field maintenance, anticipating surgeon needs, and monitoring for sterile-technique breaks. Additional details will be provided during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Pass surgical instruments in operating room.
• Maintain strict sterile field, assist/perform surgical case counts.
• Obtains necessary supplies/instruments for such cases and checks for completeness and working order.
• Opens room independently or in conjunction with the circulating nurse (depending on case complexity).
• Sets up and maintains sterile field until the patient exits the room.
• Maintains a neat and orderly sterile field during each case.
• Passes instruments to surgeons, anticipating needs.
• Monitors for breaks in sterile technique and takes corrective action when identified.
• Performs counts in accordance with policy.
