Job summary

The Staff Pad is partnering with a healthcare organization in Russellville, United States, to recruit a Surgical Technologist for the Surgery Department. You will join a team that supports safe, efficient, and sterile operating room environments across day and on-call shifts.

You’ll prepare rooms and instruments, assist surgeons, and participate in counts and equipment checks to ensure patient safety and adherence to sterile technique in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain certification.
• CST credential is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures.
• Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts with the circulating nurse.
• Clean, restock, and prepare operating rooms between procedures.
• Ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly and report any issues.
• Handle and label surgical specimens according to established protocols.
