Job summary

NueHealth LLC is seeking a Surgical Technologist at Hackensack Musculoskeletal Surgery Center to fill the scrub role across procedures. Under supervision, you will assist physicians and nurses in operations, maintain sterile technique, and ensure patient safety and efficient flow in the OR.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, surgical technologist certification, BCLS, and prefer two years of OR experience.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Certification as Surgical Technologist
• Two years previous experience in operating room desired
• Current BCLS

Responsibilities

• Decision making concerning equipment and/or instrumentation sterilization
• Bio hazardous waste disposal
• Patient care and patient flow
• Maintains a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA guidelines and infection control standards
• Assists surgeon in scrubbed cases
• Puts unused sterile supplies and instruments away at the end of the day
• Restocks operating rooms to established PAR levels
• Communicates information about customers or other employees only as necessary to conduct hospital related business
• Keeps supervisor apprised of work progress
• Models core values to co-workers continuously
