Job summary

NueHealth is seeking a Surgical Technologist to fill the scrub role across all types of procedures under supervision. The role requires assisting physicians and nurses, maintaining strict sterile technique, and ensuring a safe operating room environment in line with center standards.

The ideal candidate holds Surgical Technologist certification, is a high school graduate or equivalent, and has current BCLS—with preferred experience in the operating room.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist required.
• Two years previous experience as an operating room technician desired.
• Current BCLS.

Responsibilities

• Assists surgeon in scrubbed cases and supports surgical team.
• Maintains sterile technique and asepsis according to policy.
• Prepares and passes instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures.
• Ensures room readiness and availability of supplies for cases at the start of each day.
• Performs housekeeping duties and biohazard waste disposal in accordance with standards.
• Upholds patient confidentiality and safety, and adheres to hospital policies.
