Job summary

NueHealth is seeking a Surgical Technologist to perform surgical scrub duties across minor and major procedures under supervision. The role includes assisting physicians and nurses, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring patient safety in a dynamic perioperative area.

The ideal candidate holds Surgical Technologist certification, a high school diploma, and BCLS clearance, with preferred OR experience.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist required.
• Two years previous experience as an operating room technician desired.
• Current BCLS

Responsibilities

• Assists surgeon in scrubbed cases.
• Patient care and patient flow.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Maintains proper sterile technique when gowning and gloving surgeon and draping patient.
• Performs sponge, instrument, and needle counts according to count policy.
• Pulls supplies for upcoming cases.
• Keeps supervisor apprised of work progress.
• Demonstrates cooperative work attitude with coworkers, patients and physicians.
• Adheres to hospital and departmental safety policies and infection control standards.
