Job summary

SCA Health, part of Optum, is hiring a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist to join a national network of ambulatory centers. You will scrub during operative procedures, prepare instruments and assist with turnover to support efficient patient flow.

We value clinical quality and teamwork. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, Surgical Technologist course, and OR experience; ASC experience and ORT certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Surgical Technologist course.
• Two years previous operating room experience.
• ASC experience preferred.
• ORT certification preferred.
• Training program for surgical technology in the armed forces or in the National Guard or USPHS.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas.
• Assist with post procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
