United Hospital Center seeks a skilled scrub role professional to join the operating team. You will work alongside surgeons and the circulating RN to maintain a sterile field, handle instruments, and ensure safe patient positioning during procedures.

The role requires either LPN licensure with scrub experience or completion of a Surgical Technology Program with certification, plus timely BLS certification. Strong aseptic practice and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced OR environment.

Qualifications

• Current LPN licensure with 2 years scrub experience or
• Completion of a Surgical Technology Program with surgical tech certification
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Utilize aseptic technique in OR settings.
• Assist circulating RN to maintain a sterile field.
• Perform sponge, instrument, and needle counts per guidelines.
• Assist with gowning, gloving, and positioning of surgeons and equipment.
• Pass sterile instruments to the surgical team during procedures.
• Assist with transportation and positioning of patients as directed.
• Prepare supplies and equipment per preference cards.
• Assist with sterilization and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
• Monitor inventory and restock supplies and tools.
• Remove out-of-date items and discard or reprocess as required.
