Ultipro is seeking a Surgical Technologist under the supervision of the Manager of Perioperative Services and a Registered Nurse. The role focuses on filling the surgical scrub position across minor and major procedures based on competency.

You will assist physicians and nurses while complying with hospital standards and governing regulations. Essential duties include sterile technique, instrument handling, patient care, and collaboration with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification as Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Two years OR technician experience desired.
• Current BCLS (Basic Life Support)

Responsabilités

• Make decisions on equipment and instrument sterilization.
• Dispose of biohazard waste per policy.
• Assist in patient care and manage patient flow.
• Maintain aseptic technique per national standards and hospital policies.
• Support surgical team and prepare rooms for cases.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments according to policy.
• Restock ORs to PAR levels and ensure supplies are ready for upcoming cases.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate appropriately within the hospital team.
