Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking an Operating Room Technician to assist in surgical procedures under surgeons and RNs. You will prepare and maintain instruments, assist with sterile fields, and support patient care in the OR.

The role requires handling equipment, following safety protocols, and helping with prep, positioning, and instrument counts. Prior OR tech certification is preferred; BLS certification is required. Evening and weekend shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of approved Operating Room Technical School with certification preferred, or one year of on the job experience.
• Current Basic Life Support certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation for surgical procedures.
• Sets up sterile field with instruments, drapes, and solutions before operations.
• Follows regulations to attend to patients and performs pre-procedure skin prep.
• Passes instruments to surgeons and assists with counts and specimen handling.
• Cleans, sterilizes, and restocks the procedure room; assists with patient transfer as needed.
