Job summary

Miami Surgical Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. You will assist in procedures under the supervision of surgeons and nurses, and you will be responsible for setting up instruments, maintaining equipment, and supporting sterile technique.

The role requires graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program and CPR certification with 0-2 years of related clinical experience. Strong teamwork and attention to detail are essential for patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Must be certified to perform CPR with 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Before an operation, sets up instruments, equipment, sterile drapes, and solutions.
• Tends to patient during pre-operation procedures and prepares skin and equipment.
• Assembles sterile and non-sterile equipment and ensures it is functioning.
• Grooms patients for surgery, transfers to the operating room, and assists with sterile protocols.
• Passes instruments, assists with gowning and gloving, and helps with counting supplies.
