Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. seeks a Surgical Technologist to support open procedures in the operating room, assisting surgeons, nurses, and staff while maintaining a sterile field and preparing instruments.

Requirements include enrollment in an accredited Surgical Technologist program and current BLS certification; 0–2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, with prior exposure to a procedural environment considered a plus. Benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technologist program and actively completing it.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Zero to two years of clinical experience in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
• Prior exposure to a surgical or procedural environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Assist in preparing the operating room by establishing a sterile field and ensuring readiness.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants during procedures.
• Maintain sterile field integrity and assist with counts of sponges, needles, and instruments.
• Support patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
• Assist with specimen handling, dressing applications, and transferring patients.
• Clean, restock, and organize OR rooms and supplies after cases.
