Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. This full-time role supports surgeons and nurses by preparing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting throughout procedures.

Candidates should have CPR certification and may have completed an accredited surgical technologist program; those with 0–2 years clinical experience are welcomed. The position operates in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program preferred but not required.
• CPR certification with 0-2 years of clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Set up surgical instruments, equipment, sterile drapes, and solutions before operations.
• Tends to the patient during pre-operation procedures following center policies.
• Assembles sterile and non-sterile equipment and verifies proper function.
• Prepares patient skin and instruments for surgery and assists with positioning.
• Passes instruments to surgeons and maintains sterile field throughout procedures.
• Aids in counting sponges, needles, and supplies and disposes of specimens as needed.
• Operates sterilizers, lights, suction machines, and diagnostic equipment.
• Transports patients to the recovery area and restocks the operating room after procedures.
