Job summary

UMC Health System is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to organize, direct, and perform instrumentation, sterilization, and supplies for operating room procedures. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:30am–3:00pm, with responsibilities spanning OR prep, assistance to the surgeon, and instrument tracking.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program, and BLS within 30 days of hire; CST/TS-C/CFA certification is

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire; CST/TS-C/CFA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for incoming surgeries.
• Assist surgeon in the operating room.
• Inventory surgical instrumentation and supplies prior to an operation.
• Recount surgical instruments and supplies at the end of an operation.
• Sterilize equipment and stock up on necessary supplies.
• Attend to other duties in the operating room.
