Job summary

UMC Health System in Texas is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to organize, direct, and perform instrumentation, sterilization, and supplies for the operating room. This full-time role works 3:00pm - 11:00pm and supports the surgical team throughout procedures.

You will prepare the OR, assist the surgeon, inventory instruments, verify counts, sterilize equipment, and handle related duties to maintain a safe, efficient environment for patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for incoming surgeries.
• Assist the surgeon in the operating room.
• Inventory surgical instrumentation and supplies prior to an operation.
• Recount surgical instruments and supplies at the end of an operation.
• Sterilize equipment and stock up on necessary supplies.
• All other assigned duties related to attending the operating room.
