Qualifications

• Technical School graduate of Surgical Technology or Practical Nursing program.
• Associate Degree in Surgical Technology or Applied Sciences.
• 0-2 years of operating room surgical technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains the sterile field for procedures.
• Anticipates surgeon needs and passes instruments accurately.
• Inspects, uses, and sterilizes instruments per policy.
• Performs sponge, needle, and instrument counts with the circulating nurse.
• Restocks supplies and cleans equipment between cases to ensure OR efficiency.
