Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Surgical Tech to join our operating room team. You will prep the OR, maintain a sterile field, and assist surgeons by passing instruments and anticipating needs to ensure safe, efficient procedures.

You will count items, handle specimens, and aid with patient positioning, all while upholding aseptic technique and patient safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program is required.
• Current registration with the State of Washington as a Surgical Technician is required.
• Current healthcare provider BLS Certification is required.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the OR (instruments, equipment, supplies) and assist surgeons and nurses by anticipating needs.
• Pass instruments and maintain the sterile field during procedures.
• Count items, handle specimens, and assist with patient positioning.
• Maintain aseptic technique and adapt to fast-paced environments while prioritizing patient safety.
