Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Surgical Tech to support the operating room team. You will prepare ORs, assist in procedures, and help maintain sterility and patient safety throughout perioperative care.

The role requires a formal OR tech program, eligibility to become a Certified Surgical Technologist within six months, and active Virginia board registration. Expect collaboration across teams, adherence to infection control, and room turnover duties as part of a busy surgical unit.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of OR Technology, Surgical Scrub Tech, or Surgical Technology program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist within 6 months of hire.
• Registration with the Virginia Board of Medicine as Surgical Technologist.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with care team to form patient care plan per physician preference cards.
• Communicate safe therapeutic care throughout perioperative experience.
• Maintain and care for equipment and supplies.
• Prepare OR rooms with instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment.
• Follow aseptic technique for sterile supplies setup.
• Drape patients and assist surgical team during procedures.
• Assist in turnover of room between cases.
• Provide input for changes to physician preference cards.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment.
• Participate in infection control and quality improvement.
