Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Surgical Tech to prepare the operating room and assist the surgical team across a range of procedures. You will set up instruments, maintain a sterile field, and support the patient’s safety throughout the procedure.

Successful candidates will have ARC-ST accredited surgical technology training or RN licensure in Washington, plus BLS/CPR certification, and a strong team mindset to adapt in a dynamic OR environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from ARC-ST accredited surgical technology program or RN license in WA.
• Surgical Technologist Registration: WA upon hire.
• Basic Life Support/CPR required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room and patient for the surgical procedure, maintaining asepsis and setting up sterile equipment.
• Assists surgeon and assistants by donning gowns and gloves and positioning the patient as directed.
• Maintains sterile field and supports nursing and anesthesia personnel as needed.
• Ensures patient comfort and safety under the direction of the practitioner.
• Transfers and positions patient on the operating table and covers with sterile drapes.
