Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Washington state seeks a Surgical Tech to prepare the operating room and assist the surgical team across a variety of procedures. You will set up equipment, maintain sterility, and help with gowning, gloving, positioning, and patient safety.

Adaptability and teamwork are essential as you support anesthesia staff and contribute to the patient’s healing process in a fast-paced OR environment. Prior OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from ARC-ST accredited surgical technology program.
• Surgical Technologist Registration: WA required at hire.
• WA RN license required at hire or RN licensure acceptable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at hire.
• RN or tech education may be substituted per policy.

Responsibilities

• Prepares operating room and sterile field for procedures.
• Assists surgeon and team with gowns/gloves and positioning.
• Supports anesthesia personnel as needed.
• Maintains patient safety, comfort and sterile environment.
• Transfers and positions patient on the OR table.
