Job summary

Trinity Outpatient Surgery Center, part of BayCare Health System, seeks a Surgical Technologist to support a perioperative team in outpatient procedures at our state-of-the-art center in Trinity, Florida.

This role offers day shifts with no weekends and no on-call requirements, a collaborative team, and a focus on high-quality patient care from start to finish.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology Program.
• Military or hospital-based training program with at least five years of acute care Surgical Technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Preparing surgical instruments, supplies, equipment, and operating rooms.
• Establishing and maintaining sterile fields.
• Anticipating the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
• Assisting with specimen preparation and disposition.
• Supporting inventory management of sterile supplies.
• Maintaining knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.
• Assisting with patient transport, as needed.

In this role, you'll be an essential member of the perioperative team, supporting surgeons, nurses, and patients through a variety of outpatient surgical procedures in a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center.

What You'll Do

As a Surgical Technologist, you will provide technical support throughout the perioperative process under the direction of a Registered Nurse and according to accepted clinical standards of care.
