Job summary

BayCare's Trinity Outpatient Surgery Center in New Port Richey is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our perioperative team in a fast-paced outpatient setting with a predictable schedule.

You will assist surgeons, nurses, and patients through procedures, with day shifts, no weekends, and no on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Completion of a military or hospital-based training program with at least five years of acute care Surgical Technologist experience.
• Strong understanding of sterile technique, instrumentation, and operating room procedures.
• Commitment to teamwork and exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment; ready operating rooms.
• Establish and maintain sterile fields.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
• Assist with specimen preparation and disposition.
• Assist with patient transport as needed.

What You'll Do

As a Surgical Technologist, you will provide technical support throughout the perioperative process under the direction of a Registered Nurse and according to accepted clinical standards of care.
