Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC seeks a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room and ambulatory settings, focusing on sterile technique and patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or certified by NCCT or NBSTSA.
• Or evidence of completion of an appropriate training program for Surgical Technology in the United States Military.
• Level I: 0–18 months of experience; Level II: 6–12 months of experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and assure team maintains sterile environment.
• Assist with instrument setup and passing, and sponge/needle/instrument counts.
• Support teaching and mentoring of new technologists at Level II.
