Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or maintains an accredited Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT or NBSTSA).
• Level I requires 0–18 months of full-time equivalent experience; Level II requires 6–12 months of relevant experience.
• BLS certification required for both levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and ensure sterile environment throughout procedures.
• Assist with surgical procedures in operating room and ambulatory settings.
• Prepare OR with instrumentation, equipment and supplies; pass instruments safely and count sponges and needles.
