Job summary

Duke University Health System in Durham, NC is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support sterile technique and OR readiness. You will assist in preoperative and intraoperative tasks, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety under RN supervision.

Two levels with progression, 0–18 months for Level I and 6–12 months for Level II, plus a $10,000 commitment bonus and relocation assistance for eligible staff. Flexible shifts and on-call requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or NBSTSA/NCCT credential.
• Evidence of U.S. military Surgical Technology training acceptable.
• Level I requires 0–18 months of experience; Level II 6–12 months.
• BLS certification required for both levels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with instrumentation and supplies.
• Maintain sterile field and assist surgeon during procedures.
• Assist preoperative and postoperative care in ambulatory and OR settings.
• Support patient and team with efficient procedural flow.
