Job summary

Duke Health in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Endoscopy team at Brier Creek. This role supports sterile technique, preoperative and postoperative care, and assists surgeons during invasive procedures across age groups.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or maintains an accredited Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT or NBSTSA).
• Level I indicates entry level with 0 to 18 months experience; Level II requires 6 to 12 months experience. BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and ensure sterile environment.
• Prepare Operating Room with instrumentation, equipment and supplies.
• Pass instruments safely and perform counts of sponges, needles and instruments.
• Assist in patient preparation and intraoperative tasks as directed by RN or physician.
• Coordinate case scheduling and post-operative instructions under supervision.
