Job summary

Qualifications

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Education: Associate‘s degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology
• Work Experience: Accepts New Grads

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures with timely, accurate setup
• Scrub on simple to complex procedures and run mayo independently
• Set up sterile fields, organize back table and Mayo setup
• Anticipate intra-op needs and respond to case changes promptly
• Precept and mentor RNs and junior techs
• Duties include case closing activities and teaching scrub skills to staff
• Communicate and collaborate to ensure instruments and equipment are available
