Job summary

Carle Health in Overland Park, KS seeks a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons, prepare sterile fields, and mentor teammates. Requires BLS within 30 days and an Associate’s degree or certificate in Surgical Technology. New grads are welcome to apply.

The role involves scrubbing on simple to complex procedures, running mayo, and ensuring instruments and supplies are ready. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available to supporting candidates.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures timely, accurately and efficiently
• Set up sterile field and be scrubbed prior to patient entering the room
• Run Mayo and organize back table and mayo set
• Ensure appropriate instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional
• Collaborate with surgeon and precept/mentor staff for various cases
• Teach RNs to scrub on multiple cases
• Assist in case closing activities and turnover
