Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures with timely, accurate setup.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub prior to patient entry.
• Precept surgical techs and RNs; mentor and train students.
• Assist in first scrub, first assist and case turnover; manage intra-op needs.
